Drift Inn Cayo exceeded my expectations! The pool area was lovely, and the manager. The room was clean and spacious. Just a bummer that the restaurant was closed during our visit.

Charming pool, lovely outdoor area, where the manager was incredibly helpful, assisting in planning our trip and ensuring we had a great time exploring the local attractions like the nearby Mayan ruins.

the pool was overcrowded, but at least I got to enjoy the ambiance of squished families, right? also, the breakfast was alarmingly basic, so much for a delightful morning feast. I mean, I expected at least a complimentary upgrade after that disappointment but was utterly ignored by the staff. I almost considered giving a good review, but just couldn’t.

the grounds of the property are beautiful, and I loved that it was less than a 5-minute walk to Princess Casino and only about 2 km from the amazing Cahal Pech Mayan ruins, making it easy for me to explore so many local landmarks during my stay.

In my wife’s opinion, the pool could use more shade for comfort.
